Our
Training program is organized into three categories of services:
-
Help Session.
Short
demonstrations and information on specific knitting and crocheting techniques
are available anytime in our shop. These Help sessions typically take 10-15
minutes. We are prepared to provide this service
anytime
we are open on an 'as-needed' basis. Simply present your 'Knitters Helper'
card and we will help you with whatever help you need. You may purchase a
'Knitters Helper' card for four, eight or 12
HELP sessions at a price of $20 for
four sessions. A fifth HELP session
is added FREE OF CHARGE after every 4th session. The
card is fully transferable to another person, or may be used towards a purchase,
and may be purchased as a gift.
-
Private Instruction
on knitting and crocheting. We provide this service based on your specific
requirements. The training is one-on-one and is private. Rates are on an
hourly basis and the length of the instruction may vary from one 90-minute
session to several sessions spread over a period of several days. Call
or e-mail us now to register for your private instruction.
- Group Workshop
(maximum of 6 Individuals per class); average length: two 90 minute sessions
in our 'Elsie's Corner' training facility shown below. Workshops
include one to four sessions where e
ach session may be 90 to 120
minutes. We
invite your recommendations for workshop topics and projects.
Before a workshop
is scheduled, we prepare a plan that identifies the goals
of the workshop, the specific skills and techniques and the exercises and topics
that will be covered during each session of the workshop. These goals are made clear to you at
the beginning of the workshop and you will be told what specific
skills and techniques you will learn during
the workshop.
Based on
your requests, we prepare our plan and schedule for our workshops. We
plan our workshops seasonally (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and we
publish a Workshop Catalog which presents all workshops that we offer.
