Welcome
to our website where we tell the story of our Bayberry Knitting shop.
We took up this new
enterprise as part of a passion that we inherited from the “Generations
of Knitting” that came before us. We invite you to join us as we live our
dream.
If
you’re in Plainville, Connecticut, stop by for coffee or tea. We
think that the experience will be well worth your time. We also think that
you will appreciate our comfortable 'Knitting Parlor'
(shown below
by our front windows) where we invite our customers to bring their knitting
and catch up on each other’s favorite pastime.
We have organized
our web site to enhance your browsing experience. By the way, we recommend
that you bookmark our website (Click FAVORITES > Add to Favorites) because
we think that you will want to return.
Our website currently
offers the following sections:
-
the 'ABOUT US'
section where we tell you about our plans for Bayberry Knitting...
-
the 'DIRECTIONS'
section that will bring you right to our shop and provides all of our contact
information…
-
the ‘PRODUCT GALLERY’
where you can examine some of our yarns, patterns and accessories. Look
for this section to grow signficantly in the future...
-
the ‘TRAINING SERVICES’
section to learn about the training and workshops that we offer our customers
in the crafts of knitting, crocheting and yes, even spinning! Here, you
will learn about ‘Elsie’s Corner’ where we conduct our group training
workshops. Also, this is where you will find our current schedule of workshops
for the year ...
-
the
'BAYBERRY
BLOG', a fun part of our website where you can get our latest news
and where you and I can have a conversation about knitting. We also
publish a newsletter that is posted on our Blog. Click on the NEWSLETTER
icon on the right for a sneak preview. The newsletter is e-mailed to our
customers and visitors on the Internet. Click here to GET
ON OUR MAILING LIST for your copy of "The Broche".
To enhance your visit,
we provide background music from 'Solitudes' titled 'Santorini
Splendor' by Rouly Antonopoulos that you will also hear at our
Shop where it is available for sale. You may also visit the 'Solitudes'
collection at www.solitudes.com.
Whether
for our fine yarns and knitting and crocheting supplies, or for booking
a session of training with us, use our very elegant Bayberry Knitting Gift
Card. The card by itself makes a very attractive gift!
In the meantime,
please contact us by email or by phone. Note that our hours of operation
are posted in the sidebar (upper right) on all pages of our website, and
our address, phone number and e-mail address is at the bottom of each page.
(Click on the BLUE ADDRESS BAR a the bottom of each page to send us an
e-mail.)
By the way, Jim and
I are bilingual. On parle français. Venez passé un petit
tour!
Hope to see you soon!
